A special derivative of lecithin suitable for creating out of ordinary emulsions with high water content, that are lighter, less greasy, less film-forming and which absorbs more quickly. Brings conditioning benefits to hair. Gives a moisturised and silky sensation to the skin and hair.
A special derivative of lecithin suitable for creating exquisite emulsions with high water content, that are lighter, less greasy, less film-forming and which absorbs more quickly. Brings conditioning benefits to hair. Gives a moisturised and silky sensation to the skin and hair.
Lysolecithin is an emulsifier obtained from non-genetically modified soybeans, suitable for the preparation of a wide range of emulsions with a special sensory profile.
BENEFITS
- emulsifier for O/W emulsions, co-emulsifier to increase the stability of emulsions
- provides a moisturised and silky skin feel
- enhanced emulsification and dispersion capacity in aqueous media compared to common lecithins
- forms emulsions with a light and pleasant texture on the skin, less greasy, more moisturising, less film-forming and well absorbed
- in hair care, lysolecithin provides nourishing and conditioning properties
- improves the sensory profile of creams and serums
USE RECOMMENDATIONS
- cosmetic ingredient
- ideal for light, less greasy, less film-forming, more moisturising emulsions that soak into the skin easily
- suitable for emulsions with high water content such as serums or moisturising fluids
- active and sensory ingredient in shampoos, hair serums and conditioners
FORMULATION GUIDE
- recommended to be included in the oil phase, with heating to 60-80°C, optimal oil phase 20-45%
- can act as a cold emulsifier, depending on the formula
- in O/W emulsions it is used at 3.0 - 6.0 % in combination with a gelling agent or stabiliser
- used as a stabilising co-emulsifier or sensory profile enhancer at 0.5 - 1 %
- the optimal dosage depends largely on the fat phase, the texture of the oils and the (non)used gelling or stabilising agent
- for the preparation of bath oils or bath bombs, it can be used up to 10%
- lysolecithin is a pure emulsifier, it does not impart viscosity to emulsions
- gives a yellowish colour to compositions, the consistency of emulsions sets after 24 hours of preparation
- in shampoos and conditioners, at an acid pH of around 5, the phospholipids in lysolecithin acts as cationic substances - an important feature for damaged hair
