Chelator natural

Natural origin chelating agent for cosmetic formulations, helps increase the shelf life, stability and efficacy of cosmetic products. A natural alternative to EDTA.

Metals can enter a cosmetic formulation from the production equipment, as impurities from ingredients and from water. These metals promote oxidation reactions, may cause discoloration and impair the foaming properties of surfactants.

Sodium phytate is made from phytin, the main phosphate storage in plants.

FORMULATION GUIDE

• very easy to use
• combination with other antioxidants like tocopherol or ascorbyl palmitate is recommended to boost performance
• note the low pH of 3
• not recommended for W/O emulsions
• add to the water phase during every step in the production phase
