It contains compounds such as benzyl cinnamate and benzyl benzoate - responsible for the sweet, balsamic aroma, cinnamic acid - a powerful antioxidant and antimicrobial, benzoic acid - an antibacterial substance, vanillin - gives a specific delicious scent, farnesol - deodorant effect, nerolidol and aldehydes.
