Tonka absolute

Overly seductive, often present in the background of sophisticated and elegant perfumes, tonka bean absolute is a valuable raw material in perfumery with its honeyed caramel and amaretto scent ennobled with vanilla, praline and almond accords.

Use this outstanding absolute as an ingredient in cosmetic preparations like creams, balms, body lotions, body butters.

Use the Tonka absolute to create sophisticated perfume compositions. Blends particularly well with amber, oriental, tobacco or fern accords.

For the formulation of liquid perfumes using Tonka bean absolute, it is best to first prepare an alcoholic liquid concentrate to facilitate the dosage. Combine 1 gr of absolute with 3 gr of min 90° ethanol, let it set for 1-2 days to obtain a concentrated liquid that can be easily handled thereafter.

Solubility: soluble in min 90° alcohol, insoluble in water, insoluble in oils, dispersible in emulsions, dispersible fatty substances like oils and butters, dispersible in anhydrous preparations.
